If you're reading this, it's probably your first time visiting the Parkdale Community Food Bank, or a food bank in general. You might be a little confused on how this all works, so here is some information on what you'll need for your first visit. To access our food bank (and other Daily Bread-affiliated ones as well), we'll need the following from you:
- Proof of Identification for you and your dependants if any: This can be anything from a driver's license, health card, birth certificate or even a hospital card from your recent visit. As long as it has your name and birthdate, it will be easy to indentify you for you. If you decide to return to the food bank, be sure to bring one of these to make the registration process easy for you.
- Proof of Address: Proof of Address helps us identify if you live in our catchment area. We won't deny you service for any reason, but we might find a food bank for you that's closer and easier to access. If there are reasons that you might have that keep you from accessing other food banks, don't hesitate to speak to one of our intake workers or supervisors.
- Proof of Income: For our needs based assessment, any proof of income (or lack thereof) must be shown at the time of registration.
Our Hours of Operation are as follows:
Wednesday & Thursday: 1:30pm to 4pm
Friday Senior's Program: 11:30pm to 1:30pm ( Seniors and Disabled only )
Saturday: 11:30am to 1:30pm
