Get Ready to Unleash Your Culinary Creativity with the Second Edition of Our Community Cookbook!

irisbrown

We are thrilled to announce that we are currently accepting submissions for the second edition of our community cookbook.

This cookbook is not just a collection of recipes; it's a celebration of our community. We're calling on all local foodies to share their best vegetarian or vegan recipes. Whether it's your go-to weeknight dinner, a family recipe that has been passed down for generations, or an innovative creation, we want to see what you can cook up! To make this edition as accessible and inclusive as possible, we ask that you submit recipes that do not involve the use of special equipment or more than 8 essential ingredients.

Participants whose recipes are selected will receive a $50 gift, generously donated by some of our favourite local businesses, Ruru Baked and Barque Smokehouse.

Ready to share your culinary masterpiece? Send in your recipes by May 10th for a chance to win a prize and be featured in our community recipe zine. You can submit your recipes in person at 263 Dunn Avenue or online at the link below.

Our first edition was a hit thanks to the delicious contributions and incredible support of our community! Check out the interviews below to learn more about the inspiration behind the project.

And if you haven’t snagged a copy of the first edition yet, don’t worry! First editions are still available at the food bank, and will also be available for purchase at a pay what you can fee at the upcoming Spring Run Off on April 6th.

Good luck and happy cooking!
