Information For Clients

Our Program Options

We do not require any proof of identification or financial status from our service users.

We provide groceries (not pre-made meals), and we have two options to access them. You can visit the food bank once a week.  Please bring your own grocery bags to take your items!

Drop-In Grocery Program

Our in-person grocery program offers a simple way to access free, healthy groceries right here in the Parkdale community. Community members can browse our food bank and choose from a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, bread, grains, pasta, sauces, soups, beans, canned meat and fish, fresh meat, vegetarian alternatives, beverages, pet food, personal care products, and more.

Grocery Delivery Program

Our grocery delivery program delivers grocery boxes to community members who are unable to leave their homes for a variety of reasons. If you are unable to attend our in person programming, please email deliveries@pcfb.ca or call 289-206-1377 to be added to our delivery waitlist. In your email please include your reason for delivery, a valid phone number, your address (and unit number, if applicable), the number of people in your household, and any dietary restrictions that you follow. Availability is limited based on eligibility and resources.

Come In For A Visit

We are open to the public for food service during the following hours:

Wednesday 10:00AM to 4:30PM

Thursday 10:00AM to 4:30PM

Friday 4PM to 8PM

Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM

To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend arriving a few hours after we open, as wait times can be long at opening. Fifteen minutes before opening, we distribute randomized numbers to those waiting in line. These numbers determine the order of entry. If you receive a higher number, you can wait at the library where a volunteer will notify you when it's your turn to shop. Anyone arriving after numbers have been distributed will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
