Taste of Parkdale
COMMUNITY COOKBOOK

Get ready to show off your cooking skills!

Our Community Cookbook is a celebration of the diverse flavours and traditions that make Parkdale unique. Each dish has been submitted by a member of our community, crafted with ingredients that are commonly found at the Parkdale Community Food Bank.

We’re not currently accepting submissions for the next edition, but we’d still love to see what you’re cooking up! Recipes submitted now will be considered for upcoming editions, should they meet our submission categories.

The next official submission period will open in March 2025.

Guidelines

We want our cookbook to be accessible and affordable to everyone, so we’ve put some guidelines in place. Don’t worry, they're designed to make participation easy and fun!

  • All recipes must be vegetarian or vegan.

  • Recipes should not involve special equipment (stick to stovetop, oven, and microwave).

  • Recipes cannot contain more than 8 essential ingredients and up to 5 optional ingredients.

  • All entries will be judged based on originality, accessibility, affordability, and adherence to challenge guidelines.
