We’re incredibly proud to announce that our organization has been awarded the Daily Bread Food Bank Best in Class Award for Outstanding Food Program!

The Outstanding Food Program Award acknowledges a community agency in Toronto that has made significant efforts to implement rights-based practices within their program. It emphasizes the importance of ensuring that every client is treated with dignity and respect in a welcoming, supportive environment. Our goal has always been to create a space where everyone feels included and valued, and we’re thrilled to see this mission recognized.

One of the key aspects of this award is the focus on fostering inclusivity through a volunteer cohort that reflects the community we serve. We believe that representation and empathy are at the heart of building a strong, supportive community, and our volunteers play a huge role in making that happen. This award is truly a testament to their incredible efforts.

We also want to take a moment to congratulate our fellow nominees, Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre and Bloor West Food Bank. Their dedication and hard work in the fight against food insecurity is inspiring, and it was an honour to be recognized alongside such amazing organizations. We’re proud to share this space with them and grateful for their contributions to our community.

Lastly, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to our clients, volunteers, and everyone who has supported us along the way. This award belongs to all of you. Your belief in our mission, your time, your donations, and your care have made this achievement possible.

Together, we are building a more inclusive, supportive, and resilient community.
