Beneva Spring Run-Off: The Best Year Yet!

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, fundraised, and donated; despite the pouring rain!

Together, we raised $100,000! Every dollar helps us improve our programming, increase accessibility, and ensure no one in Parkdale goes without food.

We also received many donations of non-perishable food items during the race! These donations were so great to receive, and went straight into our community!

A massive thank you to Beneva and Canada Running Series for their generous support! We are so appreciative of the continued generosity and support shown through this fundraiser these last four years!

Love Blossoms at 5 Brock

Back in February we celebrated our one-year anniversary at 5 Brock Ave! We are so grateful for the continued support from our community. It means so much to all of us at the Food Bank!

It was especially meaningful to recognize our incredible volunteers. Their dedication makes our programs and services possible, and we truly could not do this work without them.

A big thank you to Junior’s Pizzeria for donating several delicious pizzas. Dosa Mahal, 180 Drinks, and Choco Churros provided additional tasty contributions.

We want to send a huge thank-you to everyone who continues to show up for PCFB and the Parkdale community. đź’š

NEW: Monthly Senior’s Shopping Day!

After hearing from our community, we are excited to introduce a new shopping time created especially for our senior community!

On the last Tuesday of every month, we will now offer shopping hours for adults aged 65+. This dedicated time is designed to provide a calmer, more relaxed shopping experience, with a slower pace and extra volunteer support available for anyone who would like a hand while shopping.

We know that busy spaces and crowds can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we hope these special hours will create a welcoming, comfortable environment where seniors can shop with ease, connect with others, and take their time.

Of course, adults 65+ are always welcome during any of our regular shopping hours as well; these dedicated senior’s hours are simply another option for those who would enjoy a quieter experience.

We Have Cool Merch, and You’d Look Great In It!

PCFB merch is now stocked at Scout, a local shop in Roncesvalles! Stop by during open hours to grab your favourite tote, T-shirt, or baseball cap. Every purchase directly supports our food programs.

You can also find our Community Cook Book at a local cafe, Larry’s Place on Queen St. West!

Are you a local business interested in supporting the PCFB by selling our merchandise? Contact us at info@pcfb.ca.
